:omg: I apologize in advance to ALL Kaoru and DEG fans for my horrendous achievement of screwing up his beautiful face. :cries: I did my best with the hair - and I'm actually quite thrilled that I've improved in that area...but the contrasting shadows in the original picture were so obscure, I can't help but try my best to imitate the original. :( Remind me not to try something so challenging with the facial shadows next time...Hopefully my commission for will come out better...:disbelief: Done in Illustrator with a MOUSE (not a tablet!) and a great deal of patience to vector each strand of hair...Please keep your critique about the facial shadows to a very low medium - I feel bad as is! >.<

EDIT: I tried burning the face a little to give it a more three-dimensional effect, and I'm MUCH more happy with its appearance now. A lil of Photoshop was used, but hell - this is 98% so NYAAA! ;p

Not too bad. It does look like him. The hair looks like it took a LONG time to do, that would drive me crazy. I'm amazed you finished it. Good job!

Heheh, yes, I'm quite proud of how the hair came out - but I believe it was well worth the effort. :nod: I did a quick edit and put the jpg format into Photoshop and burned some of the shadows to make it look more realistic - do you think it looks better than the original? :flirty:

i've seen the origional and just by looking at it it looks incredebley hard to vector. The hair looks so hard! my god you gotts be patient to do that ;P

i started your pic...its going well...proberly one of the best i've done...and the skin actually looks like skin!! :excited:

WOW.. that is so cool! You're so lucky, I don't know the first thing about Illustrator. XD I try to teach myself and I just sit there for an hour staring at the tools going, "k I dunno what to do." I should find a tutorial.
Anyway, awesome vector, I love the face!!

:lol: I had fun with the hair actually - it's the digital equivalent to throwing paint around...only with vectored lines, haha. :rofl: The skin by far was the most difficult to vector - I'm not sure if I hate it or if I'm relieved its over and done with! :disbelief: Heheh - looking forward to that picture, I'm sure you'll make it come out great! :hug: Thanks for supporting me! :glomp:
